PROJECT

An impactful, elegant and enhancing structure for the area, in a highly visible site.

Born from the need to create a strategic hub to support the growth of Gruppo Vergero, the new headquarters will be built on an area of +26,000 m2 at Venaria Reale, along the northern ring road of Turin.

The site, with dedicated areas to industrial operations and offices, will host the central logistics base, advanced plant engineering for environmental protection and the administrative headquarters of the Group.

Supported by the high visibility of the area and the desire of the Group to express its market positioning and welcome its team in an inclusive environment, the aim is to achieve an architecture of impact with a high aesthetic profile and a value for the territory.

At the beginning of 2021 an international design competition was launched in collaboration with the Fondazione per l’Architettura / Torino to receive and select design proposals, in particular for the office building and the preparation of the entire front on the ring road. The Competition has allowed to enhance to creativity of every qualified designer who wanted to put himself in the game leaving a sign in the architectural landscape of Turin.

At the end of the competition, the architects Lorenzo Barghini, from Pistoia, and Bernardo Aguilar Leon, from Lima (Peru), were officially proclaimed winners, emerging among the 39 projects presented, and becoming partners of the Group in the design of the future structure.

The architects were able to capture and translate into architectural design the needs and identity of Gruppo Vergero, proposing a structure at the same time of effect and elegance, open and transparent towards the exterior, welcoming and participatory in its interiors.

Solutions that are able to communicate and enhance some of the Group’s founding and representative traits such as ethics, innovation, enthusiasm and inclusiveness.

With a great impact enhanced by the visibility of the area, the architectural project will communicate the positioning of the Group as a leader in its sector, its orientation to innovation and its dynamism.
